build log and emerge --info
> /usr/bin/install: cannot run 'strip': No such file or directory
/usr/bin/strip is generally supposed to be a symlink to sys-devel/binutils' strip, eg., /usr/x86_64-pc-linux-gnu/binutils-bin/2.40/strip, or set via $STRIP. It's absence shouldn't relate to sys-devel/dev86, though.
