Significant as http://tpctl.sourceforge.net/ hasn't been adequately updated
since June. Thank you!
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. See thinkpads running new utils and driver
2. Notice that they aren't running Gentoo
3. Sob uncontrollably
Actual Results:
Consoled myself with a fierce game of UT.
Expected Results:
Installed latest and greatest.
Support for 2.6.9+ kernels, along with better functionality overall.
From notes on thinkpad (driver):
"Release Name: 5.8
Notes: 5.8 changes from 5.7 -------------------- 19Sep2004 JDTH : thinkpadpm:
Switch from unsigned long to cpumask_t. Thanks to Stefan Seyfried for the clue.
This version still won't compile on the latest 2.6.9-rc kernels."
I manually rename thinkpad-5.7 to thinkpad-5.8.
5.7 and 5.8 compiled fine (kernel gentoo-dev-sources-2.6.9-r4), but insmod thinkpadpm.ko complain about unresolved symbols get_cpu_ptr and put_cpu_ptr.
I'm working on this one. Have patience.
