Description Stephan Wentz 2002-08-23 06:26:53 UTC
just tried to emerge net-ftp/kbear-2.0_beta2, but it fails while configuring
with the following error:

"checking for xml2pot... not found
configure: error: The important program xml2pot was not found!
Please check whether you installed KDE correctly."

maybe a dependency missing? or kde broken?
Comment 1 Martin Larsen 2002-08-23 12:22:17 UTC
xml2pot is provided by kdesdk, so it looks like a missing dependency to me.

Comment 3 Stephan Wentz 2002-08-24 04:02:10 UTC
ok, emerging kdesdk fixed my error (someone add the dependency, please!), but
now i'm getting another error (kbear doesn't seem to like me, hehe), which i
have attached

This new error seems to be the one described in #6736 (and about 20 other
bugreports). I've fixed it (apparently); please emerge rsync to get the latest
kde.eclass and try again.

I'll verify and add the missing dep on kdesdk.

Comment 6 Dan Armak (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2002-08-29 14:59:51 UTC
I've confirmed and added the missing dep on kdesdk for xml2pot. Please confirm
that the 2nd error has been fixed (or not).
Comment 7 Stephan Wentz 2002-08-30 01:17:24 UTC
emerge'd completely, works fine now!
