Where did you get gtk+ 2.5.2?

------- Comment #2 From foser (RETIRED) 2004-10-20 05:51:11 0000 -------
see overlays..

you are using a development version of gtk+ and probably other applications, you get to keep the pieces.

note that setting this to 'critical' because you've blown your own system is silly

This happens on 2.6.1, which is in portage, under ~x86 mask. This probably
needs to be reopened.

Patch against 1.2-r1

This patch fixes the gtk_im_module_get_type() error and is taken from im-ja's
post-1.2 cvs tree.

------- Comment #5 From Mamoru KOMACHI (RETIRED) 2005-02-04 22:32:11 0000 -------
Right, this should be applied to im-ja if you are using >=gtk+-2.6.
I'm going to add the patch to CVS.

------- Comment #6 From Mamoru KOMACHI (RETIRED) 2005-02-04 22:36:17 0000 -------
Fixed in CVS. Thanks for the bug report and patch.
