Opened: 2004-10-01 13:30 0000
Description:   Opened: 2004-10-01 13:30 0000
installed using emerge gurlcheck on top of previous kde installation
edit->preferences->general tab->configure network proxy button

Cannot start network proxy configuration program; the following error occurred:
failed to execute child process "gnome-network-preferences" no such file or directory.

find failed to locate this file on my linux partition.
this file was listed as part of the gnome control-center in an online search.

gnome control-center package was not installed after my emerge of gurlcheck.

Test to fix issue:
emerge control-center
waited 1 hour (due to many dependancies required for this package)
tested and it worked as expected

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.emerge kde-base on a bare system install
2.emerge gurlchecker
3.gurlchecker
4.select edit->preferences->general tab->configure network proxy button
5. error occurs
Actual Results:
Cannot start network proxy configuration program; the following error occurred:
failed to execute child process "gnome-network-preferences" no such file or
directory.

Expected Results:
gnome-network-preferences from gnome control-center should have loaded allowing
the proxy configuration

gurlchecker-0.6.7-r1 lists control-center as a dependency now.

Thank you for your report.
