We are waiting for the official announcement, which has not happened yet

Also I might add, that the source tarball seems to be broken, at least on my machine it doesn't build, so this needs some further work
Comment 3 Andreas Proschofsky (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-10-01 15:12:44 UTC
Ok, further investigation reveals that I was right, the source tarball is broken, I filed a bug about that upstream:

http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=34892

I've already done a patch for that problem here locally, still I am going to wait for a corrected tarball for the source build.

Regarding the -bin-version: I have just put 1.1.3 into portage, although it is hard-masked for now until there is a release announcement. But if you REALLY want to try out: It should work fine ;)
Comment 4 Andreas Proschofsky (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-10-05 01:57:29 UTC
Just a little status update: openoffice-bin-1.1.3 is now unmasked as the release has been officially announced.

The source version is still on hold, as I am waiting for the - promised - fixed tarball release.

Please also add ~amd64 and
  amd64? ( mirror://openoffice/stable/${PV}/OOo_${PV}_LinuxIntel_install.tar.gz )"
for the download file. I unmasked it today and tried to build it on my amd64. It works without problems.
Comment 6 Andreas Proschofsky (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-10-06 23:28:10 UTC
Just commited the new OOo 1.1.3 ebuild to cvs. Uses the new source tarball which has been released a few hours ago. Closing this
Comment 7 Paul de Vrieze (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-10-08 06:07:31 UTC
Jorg, for amd64 masking, please file a new bug and assign it to amd64@gentoo.org

This has already been done by someone else:
