I get the same with the regular www-client/firefox-50.1.0. Problem is that in old-configure, "[:space:]" instead of "[[:space:]]" is used. I tried working around this with epatch user (which works for the toplevel old-configure) but then it fails at the generated js/src/old-configure with the same issue. Interestingly, on Dec 23 this ebuild still worked for me. I reproduced the issue on 2 machines (both running ~amd64) so far. And sure enough, the machine that could still compile it on Dec 23 has since then updated both m4 and sed ... I'll let you know when I know more. Ok, downgrading sys-apps/sed to 4.2.2 is a workaround here. Apparently, 4.2.2 does not complain about the wrong syntax. So the real question is how this actually ends up being wrong in old-configure. Unfortunately, I'm no autotools/m4 expert, so I'm not sure whether I can figure that out. Oh, and mail-client/thunderbird-45.6.0 has the same problem. There is actually another (more complete) bug report: bug 604696 *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 604696 *** |
