I have exactly the same problem. The 11.2.202.632 ebuild is detected in Firefox, the 22.0.0.209-r1 isn't. 64bit : wget https://fpdownload.macromedia.com/pub/labs/flashruntimes/flashplayer/linux64/libflashplayer.so -O /usr/lib64/nsbrowser/plugins/libflashplayer.so If you go to this [1] page, then you can only download 11.2 for Firefox (NPAPI). @Adrien: How did you find that link? [1]: https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions/ (In reply to Gleb from comment #3) > If you go to this [1] page, then you can only download 11.2 for Firefox > (NPAPI). > > @Adrien: How did you find that link? > > [1]: https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions/ Here : http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/flashplayer.html OOPS it's 23 version. But, can you add it ? Created attachment 445672 [details, diff]

Version 23 beta is available for download from this page: http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/flashplayer.html (NPAPI version). IMHO if we are going stable with >=www-plugins/adobe-flash-22, this version shall be added, to not confuse users. I upgraded my world, perform emerge --depclean, and now I have no flash in Firefox. *** Bug 597848 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** (In reply to Jeroen Roovers from comment #6) > Comment on attachment 445672 [details, diff] [details, diff] > adobe-flash NPAPI 23.0.0.162 > > >--- www-plugins/adobe-flash/adobe-flash-11.2.202.635.ebuild > >+++ www-plugins/adobe-flash/adobe-flash-23.0.0.162_beta.ebuild > > Magic version is magic. > > >@@ -2,34 +2,39 @@ > > # Distributed under the terms of the GNU General Public License v2 > > # $Id$ > > > >-EAPI=5 > >-inherit nsplugins toolchain-funcs versionator multilib multilib-minimal > >+EAPI=6 > >+ > >+MULTILIB_COMPAT=( abi_x86_{32,64} ) > >+ > >+inherit nsplugins toolchain-funcs multilib-minimal > > > > DESCRIPTION="Adobe Flash Player" > > HOMEPAGE=" > > http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer.html > > http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ > >- https://helpx.adobe.com/security/products/flash-player.html#version11 > >+ https://helpx.adobe.com/security/products/flash-player.html > >+ http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/flashplayer.html > > " > > > >-AF_URI="http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/pdc" > >-AF_DB_URI="http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/updaters" > >-PV_M=$(get_major_version) > >-AF_32_URI="${AF_URI}/${PV}/install_flash_player_${PV_M}_linux.i386.tar.gz -> ${P}.i386.tar.gz" > >-AF_64_URI="${AF_URI}/${PV}/install_flash_player_${PV_M}_linux.x86_64.tar.gz -> ${P}.x86_64.tar.gz" > >-AF_32_DB_URI="${AF_DB_URI}/${PV_M}/flashplayer_${PV_M}_plugin_debug.i386.tar.gz -> ${P}-debug.i386.tar.gz" > >+if [[ ${PV} == *_beta ]]; then > > No. That's bad. > > >+ AF_URI="https://fpdownload.macromedia.com/pub/labs/flashruntimes/flashplayer" > >+ AF_32_URI="${AF_URI}/linux32/libflashplayer.so -> ${P}.i386.so" > >+ AF_64_URI="${AF_URI}/linux64/libflashplayer.so -> ${P}.x86_64.so" > > I am not going to package it until they provide a version. NPAPI versions provided: https://fpdownload.macromedia.com/pub/labs/flashruntimes/flashplayer/linux64/flash_player_npapi_linux.x86_64.tar.gz https://fpdownload.macromedia.com/pub/labs/flashruntimes/flashplayer/linux32/flash_player_npapi_linux.i386.tar.gz PPAPI versions provided: https://fpdownload.macromedia.com/pub/labs/flashruntimes/flashplayer/linux64/flash_player_ppapi_linux.x86_64.tar.gz https://fpdownload.macromedia.com/pub/labs/flashruntimes/flashplayer/linux32/flash_player_ppapi_linux.i386.tar.gz i see no problems in making versioned ebuilds out of unversioned tarballs. there are dozens of ebuilds in portage tree made that way. firefox users can be going through https://github.com/i-rinat/freshplayerplugin/blob/master/README.md . It is available in Portage. just emerge freshplayerplugin ;) (In reply to Oleg from comment #11) > i see no problems in making versioned ebuilds out of unversioned tarballs. I do. > there are dozens of ebuilds in portage tree made that way. Right, so that's all right then. Somehow. Added 24.0.0.145 with USE="+npapi +ppapi".
