The systemd build system does not actually enforce that requirement, and it is certainly not required for use of systemd-boot. I would guess that you have an old version of util-linux installed. Please upgrade to >= 2.27.1. If that's not the case, please attach config.log. commit e32915980436101f85806d413c9f134f551002b1 Author: Mike Gilbert <floppym@gentoo.org> Date: Sun Aug 28 10:21:48 2016 -0400 systemd-boot: update util-linux requirement confirm it compiled with >= 2.27.1.
