The nvidia-settings dependency in Conky requires a x11-drivers/nvidia-drivers-340.93-r1. This keeps Conky from being compiled with the latest stable version of nvidia drivers in portage(ver. 361). 

Please remove the nvidia-settings settings.

Have you tried building conky with USE="-nvidia".

This appears to have been resolved in conky-1.10.x.
