IMO the ebuild lacks a [=X], right ? few more packages : x11-plugins/gkrellm-leds-0.8.2 x11-plugins/gkrellshoot-0.4.4 and to correct my last comment - those ebuilds lack not only a missing USE flag deps I fear. *** Bug 587184 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 588684 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** For now I'll ignore x1-plugins/gkrell* packages, currently these failed so far : $ grep rell tb/data/ALREADY_CATCHED x11-plugins/gkrellfire-0.4.2 : * This plugin requires the X frontend of gkrellm. x11-plugins/gkrellm-volume-2.1.13-r2 : * This plugin requires the X frontend of gkrellm. x11-plugins/gkrellsun-1.0.0-r3 : * This plugin requires the X frontend of gkrellm. x11-plugins/gkrellm-bluez-0.2-r1 : * This plugin requires the X frontend of gkrellm. x11-plugins/gkrellshoot-0.4.4 : * This plugin requires the X frontend of gkrellm. x11-plugins/gkrellaclock-0.3.4 : * This plugin requires the X frontend of gkrellm. x11-plugins/gkrellm-leds-0.8.2 : * This plugin requires the X frontend of gkrellm. x11-plugins/gkrellm-cpupower-0.1.6-r1 : * This plugin requires the X frontend of gkrellm. x11-plugins/gkrellmwireless-2.0.3-r1 : * This plugin requires the X frontend of gkrellm. x11-plugins/gkrellm-mailwatch-2.4.3-r1 : * This plugin requires the X frontend of gkrellm. x11-plugins/gkrellm-xkb-1.05 : * This plugin requires the X frontend of gkrellm. x11-plugins/gkrellmss-2.6-r2 : * This plugin requires the X frontend of gkrellm. x11-plugins/gkrellm-bgchanger-0.1.11-r1 : * This plugin requires the X frontend of gkrellm. x11-plugins/gkrellweather-2.0.8 : * This plugin requires the X frontend of gkrellm. Maybe this should be fixed in gkrellm-plugin.eclass... but let's see gkrellm maintainer opinion as I don't know much about this :/ Yeah, also the die comes from the eclass... that should be updated to use newer eapis :/, but for that I guess we should bump the eapi of all consumers, right? *** Bug 513962 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Maybe it's time we lastrite gkrellm if nobody cares enough to fix it. s/gkrellm/gkrellm plugins using this eclass/ Part of the packages were already setting the proper dependency on their own, some were waiting for a stabilization, others were still relying on the ugly eclass check... I think now I have fixed all to not rely on eclass for this checking (they specify the right dep as many others were already doing). Hence... the check from eclass could be dropped entirely without dropping anything The bug has been closed via the following commit(s): https://gitweb.gentoo.org/repo/gentoo.git/commit/?id=b03edf72a545ede5900727cb0a5870b937bf0506 commit b03edf72a545ede5900727cb0a5870b937bf0506 Author: David Seifert <soap@gentoo.org> AuthorDate: 2018-01-03 22:34:31 +0000 Commit: David Seifert <soap@gentoo.org> CommitDate: 2018-01-04 09:15:05 +0000 gkrellm-plugin.eclass: Remove built_with_use, EAPI 6 only Closes: https://bugs.gentoo.org/582450 Closes: https://github.com/gentoo/gentoo/pull/6713 eclass/gkrellm-plugin.eclass | 133 ++++++++++++++++++++++++------------------- 1 file changed, 75 insertions(+), 58 deletions(-) @Toralf: if you like you can unmask gkrellm stuff again.
