This is another occurrence of bug 567192, but FYI, if you use "su -" to get root rather than plain "su" then you should get a clean environment and would not hit this problem. If you use plain "su" then you inherit the environment from user "blake" and g-ir-scanner sees some XDG_* variables set and tries to "do stuff". *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 567192 *** Thank you, this fixed it. I will remember this trick, as this has been a problem periodically for a long time. Sorry for the duplicate bug. |
