This is fixed in 2.1.2-r1. Thanks for the report. I think this dependency should be optional (behind a use flag). Not everyone uses runit as their primary init system, some just install it for the tools like chpst and runsv/runsvdir (i.e. https://github.com/stiletto/runit-session ). Should I file a new bug or continue this discussion in 575478?
