Copying x11-wm/enlightenment-0.19.12 to local-overlay and just renaming to enlightenment-0.20.0.ebuild WORKSFORME. Still no handling of multiple separate X11 screens (no xinerama): Desktop on first screen perfect, only X11 "x" mouse cursor moving over the other (black) three. Same applies for newer version "-0.20.1" . "xrandr -q --screen i" delivers perfect results for i = [ 0 .. 3 ] . Please adapt the title of this bug. Thanks. *** Bug 568516 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** http://gitweb.gentoo.org/repo/gentoo.git/commit/?id=71f4d9bc272d8955703d0ce7a27ee1a58a0c55d0 (among other version bumps) ( ADDENDUM to Manfred Knick from comment #2) Just a quick warning for others using multiple separate X11 screens in Zaphod mode: In contrast to e.g. awesome [https://github.com/awesomeWM/awesome/issues/598], a simple WORKAROUND via starting additional instances of enlightenment like . . . DISPLAY=:0.1 enlightenment & on the other three screens seems _not_ possible: . . . ERR<e>src/bin/e_comp_x.c:5190 . . . Another compositor is already running on your display server. . . . <<<< Enlightenment Error >>>> . . . Enlightenment cannot create a compositor. I guess, a (new) bug should be created for this whole issue, pointing at a (new) upstream bug. Thanks. Ah, I've noticed that while every other enlightenment-related package has been bumped at least to 1.16.0, media-plugins/evas_generic_loaders (https://packages.gentoo.org/packages/media-plugins/evas_generic_loaders) has not. Guessing this is due to mere forgetfulness, so that is why I am adding this comment to remind the Enlightenment team to put this right. (In reply to Brenton Horne from comment #7) i've added it now, but in the future, please file new bug reports for things like this. it's unrelated to this bug. |
