Ebuild that installs (does not fetch) new SUN JDK
If one is going to place it in portage overlay it is important that they do
this:
cp /usr/portage/dev-java/sun-jdk/files/sun-jdk-1.5.0_beta3
/usr/local/portage/dev-java/sun-jdk/files
This copies enviroment settings that ebuild uses to overlay folder
This is first ebuild I made, so use with caution, but all I did is a some
simple name changes, so one using it should just as safe as with portage
ebuilds
http://cvs.pld-linux.org/cgi-bin/cvsweb/SOURCES/java-sun-ControlPanel-fix.patch I've been pointed out to this patch. Supposely it fixes some problems within Java Control Panel (for me panel works without it). If someone can confirm this I will try to incorporate it into the ebuild. I dont think that fixes for the simlink are nessesery if you use the ebuild with the enviroment settings file which should create everything in the right places. Created attachment 35802 [details]
