Every time I update tetex, the config file /usr/share/texmf/web2c/updmap.cfg
is silently overwritten.
It should be moved to /etc or at least be config-protected.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge tetex
This problem is fixed in tetex-2.9x.ebuild, see bug #60835.
It will be unmasked after tetex-3 will be released. I'm not
sure if I should apply the same change to tetex-2 series....
TeX-ers tend to solve such kind of issues by creating separate trees. So create
/usr/local/share/texmf/web2c/updmap.cfg and with updates, your updmap.cfg will
be retained. There is nothing against making it work with etc-update, of
course, but you don't need to
I don't fix this issue with tetex-1 and tetex-2, so if you
need this feature please use tetex-3.
