Description Markos Chandras (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2015-10-15 18:55:34 UTC
Hi,

I would like to add the following two patches[1] to our existing qemu ebuild to fix emulation for the latest MIPS R6 cores. They haven't been merged upstream but there have been no objections so far so I expect that to happen soon.

I would also like to merge the following two as well:

http://git.qemu.org/?p=qemu.git;a=commit;h=cdfcad788394ff53e317043e07b8e34f4987c659

http://git.qemu.org/?p=qemu.git;a=commit;h=d54a299b83a07642c85a22bfe19b69ca4def9ec4

assuming they apply without too much pain.

Please ACK and I will commit the new revision myself. Thanks

all look fine, but we won't carry them for long. i.e. the next time there's a major bump (2.4->2.5), they'll get dropped even if they aren't merged (since they should have been merged by then).

Yes I understand. The thing is I have no idea when the next major release will be so I am fine keeping them just for 2.4. If it's still a problem for 2.5 then I will start a new bug to discuss it. I will go ahead and add the to the ebuilds for now.

I added these 4 patches and committed 2.4.0.1-r1. Thanks
