I tryied to emerge gnome but it fails everytime when trying to emerge aspell. I
guess the download for the package doesn't work because I tried several (3)
mirrors and nothing happened. Same error and no gnome :(.

thanks for your report. should be shortly fixed. the url has changed to use gnu
mirrors.
