After some googling I've found this: http://permalink.gmane.org/gmane.comp.lib.gnulib.bugs/35198 and this: http://permalink.gmane.org/gmane.linux.lfs.devel/16227 The best course of action, IMHO, would be to skip the test-update-copyright.sh test. As I'm doing an 'emerge -1ev world' do you want me to keep reporting those failures as I find them or should I stop here? There's also this post that has a patch: https://www.mail-archive.com/debian-bugs-dist@lists.debian.org/msg1329878.html Created attachment 406996 [details, diff]
m4-1.4.16-perl.5.22_fix.patch
This patch fixes testing with perl-5.22
unless perl-5.22 is going stable (and i don't think it is), then we don't care about behavior of old stable packages. you should be focusing on the latest ~arch versions instead. this script is not from m4 but the gnulib project, and the patch sent to their mailing list is here: https://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/bug-gnulib/2015-07/msg00009.html *** Bug 554888 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Commit message: Disable gnulib update-copyright test for now http://sources.gentoo.org/sys-devel/m4/m4-1.4.16.ebuild?r1=1.14&r2=1.15 http://sources.gentoo.org/sys-devel/m4/m4-1.4.17.ebuild?r1=1.2&r2=1.3 Commit message: Disable gnulib update-copyright test for now http://sources.gentoo.org/sys-apps/findutils/findutils-4.5.14-r1.ebuild?r1=1.2&r2=1.3 if you see any more GNU packages failing this test, just list the package name here and we'll copy & paste the disable code into the ebuild There is at least sys-apps/diffutils and sys-apps/grep Commit message: Disable gnulib update-copyright test for now http://sources.gentoo.org/sys-apps/diffutils/diffutils-3.3.ebuild?r1=1.14&r2=1.15 Commit message: Disable gnulib update-copyright test for now http://sources.gentoo.org/sys-apps/grep/grep-2.21-r1.ebuild?r1=1.10&r2=1.11 |
