I just emerged artiz-fonts-2.4 and added it to my XF86Config, and on my next
reboot, it changed my mouse cursor. Only after much headaches and searching did
I find out that it was artwiz that did it (I looks for X configurations,
Xdefaults files, nvidia driver problems...).
The fact that artwiz changes the mouse cursor should be very clearly stated
somewhere in the ebuild messages, and should probably be disabled altogether.
Who wants to change their mouse cursor when they install some fonts?
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge artwiz-fonts
2. Add "FontPath "/usr/share/fonts/artwiz/" to /etc/X11/XF86Config
3. Restart X
Actual Results:
Mouse cursor changed
Expected Results:
Installed some fonts, left the cursor alone
I'm going to try and contact seemant who appears to be one of the main
"mantainers" of this package. I'm not sure if he's the "official" mantainer,
but could provide some insight on the issue. I'll see what comes up.
I don't think artwiz comes with cursors ?
Also, in my XF86Config:
FontPath "/usr/share/fonts/artwiz/", cursor is a slanted wedge with a notch.
#FontPath "/usr/share/fonts/artwiz/", cursor is normal
actually, Lim's the expert -- I was his portage side maintainer, he was the
actual one. Lim, thoughts on this?
Need to remove cursor.pcf.gz in the artwiz file.
