It's up to maintainer to decide, but frankly patch looks wrong to me: you have app-i18n/ibus-qt dependency twice in RDEPEND: ibus? ( qt4? ( app-i18n/ibus-qt ) ) qt4? ( app-i18n/ibus-qt ) It should be only at one of this places. If qt4 can be compiled without ibus-qt, remove the second encounter.
