Description M. Edward Borasky 2004-06-12 18:19:31 UTC
I'm trying to build CSound5 on Gentoo. Unfortunately, CSound5 requires the "portaudio" release to be at least 19, and Gentoo currently has 18.

18.1 is the latest released version. If you have a good cvs snapshot, please tarball it for me and list any differences between building 18 and 19.

Comment 4 Kito (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-11-15 18:06:53 UTC
this should be slotted as v.19 is pretty much a rewrite AFAIK. I had lots of trouble with v.19 and jackd, and breakage of other apps in portage that depend on portaudio is likely.

ebuild more flexible.

patch to comipile on x86_64

There were some 'darwin only' gcc options in the Makefile...configure should have figured this one out...

you need to do an epatch after the emake.
