Please attach the entire build log to this bug report. The build log is some 61MB and I am somewhat bandwidth constrained, unfortunately. I see the same failure, I'm attached the emerge output (--info, --pqv), build.log and environment. emerge --info below, rest as attachments: Portage 2.2.15 (python 2.7.9-final-0, Emerge build environment (temp/environment)
I note that it is "running gtkdoc-scan" and that I have no such program on my system. I don't have gtk-doc installed either. I emerge --oneshot'ed gtk-doc and I now have a 'gtkdoc-scan' in /usr/bin (it belongs to gtk-doc-1.2.1). I'm guessing webkit-gtk will now build, after a while, but "emerge --depclean --pretend" reveals that there are not dependencies in my system to pull in gtk-doc. With gtk-doc emerge'ed an ebuild compile step completes. I haven't run the emerge from scratch because it takes so long; I just did an "ebuild qmerge" and that seems to have worked fine. (In reply to John Bowler from comment #8) > With gtk-doc emerge'ed an ebuild compile step completes. I haven't run the > emerge from scratch because it takes so long; I just did an "ebuild qmerge" > and that seems to have worked fine. I had the same issue. Installing gtk-doc worked for me (I did a full `emerge --update --deep --with-bdeps=y @world` after installing gtk-doc). Maybe we should consider adding it to the dependencies? So it appears this is my fault for passwing -DENABLE_GTKDOC=ON always. I have to recheck whether it installs gtk-doc if this switch is set to off or not and I'll update the ebuild accordingly. + 31 Dec 2014; Gilles Dartiguelongue <eva@gentoo.org> webkit-gtk-2.6.4.ebuild: + Drop gles2 & wayland support following up current upstream status, bug + #533704. X useflag is now not an option anymore due to wayland being removed. + Make gtk-doc optional in contradiction with teams policy because upstream did + some hackery that does not use gtkdoc to manipulate gtk-doc (yay :/), bug + #533622. This is now a USE flag, until we figure out how to make upstream do their hacks better. I am leaving this open so we report that bug upstream. I saw one like this iirc but can't find it right now. Thanks for the info :) Gilles, was this the bug report you were looking for? https://bugs.webkit.org/show_bug.cgi?id=145683 |
