having some problems testing postgres at the moment looks like all their mirrors are down ... I'll try a bit later...

yeah, the mirror list gentoo has is borked for postgresql, think they
changed some stuff ...
I just put the files in the /usr/portage/distfiles dir, and it installed
from there ...
