hugin-2014.0.0-r1:20141021-095334.log

On my hardened ~amd64 machine with gcc-4.9 I see the following error when merging hugin.

CMakeFiles/PTBatcherGUI.dir/Batch.cpp.o: In function `wxEvtHandler::AddPendingEvent(wxEvent const&)':
/usr/include/wx-3.0/wx/event.h:3395: undefined reference to `wxCommandEvent::Clone() const'
collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status
src/hugin1/ptbatcher/CMakeFiles/PTBatcherGUI.dir/build.make:347: recipe for target 'src/hugin1/ptbatcher/PTBatcherGUI' failed
make[2]: *** [src/hugin1/ptbatcher/PTBatcherGUI] Error 1

This is a known problem and was for example diagnosed by Debian folks in [1] the corresponding gcc bug is [2].

The linked bugs in the bug tracker and gcc are fixed for 4.9.2 - close this one as well?
Comment 3 Vitaly A. Repin 2014-11-16 11:59:30 UTC
I can confirm that this bug is not reproducible with gcc 4.9.2

Thanks for this work guys! We're going to start keywording of 4.9 soon. Knowing that 4.9.2 fixes this means that it is the candidate for stabilization eventually.

Can this bug be safely closed now? I'm trying to figure out what's left to resolve #495124 and it looks like this one could pretty much be closed. :)

Since 4.9.2 is the only unmasked 4.9-version in tree, I tend to agree. Closing.
