To be more specific http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic.php?t=162521&highlight=gdm Unfortunately just copying files wont work. The file format is also totally different no. However I think of the following solution (need to try it though). At the moment when gdm is emerged it will create a .desktop file for every old session, this file will effectively call the old script. That's just an idea and I need to try it. Gnome people - what do you think? there is no gdm 2.6 at this point in the tree, so that part of the bug is invalid. I think WM's should just add their respective new-style session files as needed. They have had plenty of time to do so, so i don't want to go into strange hacks. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 40711 *** |
