Malcolm, please do not submit tarballs to the bug system. Please obsolete your
current attachment and add the individual ebuilds to this bug. Please do NOT
attach digests or Changelogs or that stuff.

Libvisual ebuild
This obsoletes the first attach.
Please note that this is linked with other ebuilds (libvisual-xmms,
libvisual-nebulus, libvisual-plugins), which I'll add next.
Maybe this should be transformed in only one ebuild with multiple use flags
(xmms, plugins, nebulus, ...) ?

XMMS plugin
XMMS plugin to use libvisual framework. This enables xmms to display every
visualization supported by libvisual (as provided by libvisual-nebulus and
libvisual-plugins).
libvisual installe the libs in /usr/lib and completely ignores the --libdir
option passed to configure. I've started fixing it and have committed the
fixes thus far to portage in package.mask, but I am running out of patience for
this right now, so perhaps youu can work on it further... otherwise I'll come
back to it later...
thanks.
actually.. nevermind.. i figured it out... so libvisual is now in portage...
@Jeremy:
I've did a patch for resolving the sandbox violation and reported it in bug #64226
god... i can't believe it's taking me so long to get the rest of these in
portage... damn strep throat =(
If youu could make an ebuild for libvisual-gforce too, that'd be great, too...
the xmms plugin is now in portage... please use mirror://sourceforge/ instead
of a direct URL to a specific sf mirror. Also, be careful to list the correct
LICENSE
please take a look at the media-plugins/libvisual-plugins ebuild I added to
portage and use that as a base for fixing libvisual-nebulus and
libvisual-gforce.
New versions of libvisual-* are now in portage (bug 81432).
libvisual-nebulus and libvisual-gforce are now obsoleted by libvisual-plugins,
it seems.
