I'm not sure if we want to follow beta releases here. we'll pick up stable releases for the portage tree. |
Created attachment 383950 [details] first draft of 2.5.0_beta1 ebuild Freeciv 2.5.0_beta1 is a significant feature bump for this legacy game. Unfortunately, it appears that there is quite a bit of minor ebuild fixes required to get it to build and install properly, and one potential show-stopper: Earlier freeciv ebuilds use system-lua, but freeciv 2.5.0 expects lua 5.2.x to be installed and that version is package masked in gentoo (see /usr/portage/profile/package.mask). In any case, I've put together the first draft of an updated ebuild and associated files. If someone else wants to clean it up and figure out how to handle the lua dependency...
