emerge pyogg fails the MD5 check

Attempted to fix by deleting distfile and deleting files in "/usr/portage/{package}/files" and syncing. Still have same problem.

It would appear that the file has changed on the primary website.
Specifically, the files MANIFEST and MANIFEST.in have been added.
That's not very nice of them, considering that they've done it without changing the version number.
If you set a mirror site in GENTOO_MIRRORS, it should fix this temporarily.
http://www.ibiblio.org/pub/Linux/distributions/gentoo is a good mirror to have at the end of the list,
but you should also use mirrorselect to set a fast mirror close to you.
