I have the same problem. Please explain "grrrrrrr". I guess that grrrr would correctly comment the fact that an ebuild now requires a use flag to build, which is not in the default set. So in order to build, you have to set it manually. Also perhaps the fact that said backend is marked deprecated and now has to be there in order to upgrade, which is kinda the opposite idea of "deprecated". grrr indeed. (In reply to Stephan Menzel from comment #2) I thought the same and I fully concur with your remarks.
