I'm seeing the exact same thing on an ultra10 using both the universal and minimal sparc64 2000.1 livecd's. Also, on a Sun Blade100 issuing boot cdrom hangs like the other one we know and "sometimes" it fails with an Interrupt error... Unfortunately there Also, on a Sun Blade100 issuing boot cdrom hangs like the other one we know and "sometimes" it fails with an Interrupt error... Unfortunately thereĀ“s not even a dmesg *g* 2004.1 LiveCD Can you try the ISO at http://dev.gentoo.org/~gustavoz/sparc/ ? It's basically the same as 2004.1 just with a downgraded silo that seems to be the problem. Thanks. I've uploaded a fixed universal ISO also. Please post comments in this bug about success/failure with the new ISOs. Thanks. *** Bug 49807 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 50818 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** The ISOs at http://dev.gentoo.org/~gustavoz/sparc/ seem to boot fine on a blade 100. The new ISO fixed the kernel panic on my Ultra 5. The new ISO fixed the kernel panic on my Ultra 10 too New iso working on my Ultra 10...thanks! I think it is working on my Ultra AXe but I think my CDRW drive made me a coaster. It does get past the kernel and starts to load the init scripts and then fails with a seek error on HDC. So I can't confirm 100% that it was fixed but I will confirm 99% that I believe it was fixed. :) new iso doesn't work... my ultra5 freeze when attempt to mount the cd *** Bug 54800 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Ok, 2004.2 is out for a couple of weeks now and uses the old silo that doesn't have this behaviour.
