If I understood correctly, this should be fixed in git as per bug 489794 for the next release. If so, we could simply disable the test for now, using this line in src_prepare(): find tests/ -type f -name last -delete #489794, #501408 Does that work for you? And futhermore, Mike, is that OK to commit? (In reply to Samuli Suominen from comment #1) i don't think it is. the test failures there were because last was disabled, so i fixed it to auto-skip. current git still fails the same way when last is enabled. should be all set now in the tree; thanks for the report! Commit message: Add fix from upstream for last test failures http://sources.gentoo.org/sys-apps/util-linux/files/util-linux-2.24-last-tests.patch?rev=1.1 http://sources.gentoo.org/sys-apps/util-linux/util-linux-2.24.1-r2.ebuild?r1=1.1&r2=1.2 thanks mike This is reintroduced/still present in util-linux-2.24.2. The patch from 2.24.1 still applies and solves this, eg --- a/sys-apps/util-linux/util-linux-2.24.2.ebuild +++ b/sys-apps/util-linux/util-linux-2.24.2.ebuild @@ -65,6 +65,7 @@ src_prepare() { po/update-potfiles eautoreconf fi + epatch "${FILESDIR}"/${PN}-2.24-last-tests.patch #501408 find tests/ -name bigyear -delete #489794 elibtoolize } Fixed thanks for the report (In reply to SpanKY from comment #3) > should be all set now in the tree; thanks for the report! > > Commit message: Add fix from upstream for last test failures > http://sources.gentoo.org/sys-apps/util-linux/files/util-linux-2.24-last- > tests.patch?rev=1.1 > http://sources.gentoo.org/sys-apps/util-linux/util-linux-2.24.1-r2. > ebuild?r1=1.1&r2=1.2 Weird: on my system I have to comment out this patch to have the tests succeed... (In reply to Paolo Pedroni from comment #7) > Weird: on my system I have to comment out this patch to have the tests > succeed... You are not the first one saying that, so I'm reopening the bug. a newer version is stabilized now and doesn't apply the patches (they're integrated upstream), so closing out |
