I finished changes to modules-update (not yet committed), but changes are also needed to generate-modprobe.conf Created attachment 30797 [details]

Please try these updates. If they work then I'll commit to rc-scripts and
commit a patch to module-init-tools. They should be installed in /sbin and you
need to install both of them.

ok, nobody is testing this so I don't know if it really works. However I know that it doesn't break anything because (1) I've tested and (2) the behavior doesn't change unless you specify --assume-kernel=x.x.x So I've just committed to module-init-tools-3.0-r2 and baselayout-1.9.0 with these changes. Somebody let me know if it helps the livecd problems... Please re-open the bug if it doesn't work. sorry i didn't get a chance to test - my net connection went flakey, will try this on the livecds though, thanks aron :) |
