Created attachment 367898 [details] emerge-info I was able to emerge nvidia-drivers from the cli, not running a desktop, and emerge nvidia-drivers with the tools flag set, which did not pull in the individual ebuild/package nvidia-settings. Desktop works fine, nvidia settings is available and works fine. But when updating or emerging nvidia-drivers from the running desktop (xfce) the tools flag set in package.use is ignored and shows -tools in the emerge package order list, while also pulling in the ebuild/package nvidia-settings. I have had the same results on two different workstations.
