Hm, further looking suggests this bug closer to bug #466408 , because you have USE="-python" to contend with. So it needs to inhibit calling python-single-r1_pkg_setup when USE="-python". > pkg_setup() { > use python && python-single-r1_pkg_setup > } Though you probably still want REQUIRED_USE magic for when USE="python" Exactly right. As well, the depdendency on dev-python/setuptools should be this: dev-python/setuptools[${PYTHON_USEDEP}] I believe both required changes are in 5.7.3_pre3. |
