Uh ... upgrading to dev-python/numpy-1.7.1 doesn't really help, then emerge wants to reinstall numpy (and those other packages) again. Examples of other stuff which bring numpy in: emerge --ask -1 -v glibc emerge --ask -1 -v openssl openssh neon busybox Hmmm ... considering that the list of applications to rebuild started to shorten when I emerged dev-lang/python-exec, it may be related to #486580 or #489440 ... Try emerge --tree to see what might be pulling in numpy.
