From a default install of jedit 4.0.3-r1 you cannot access the documentation as only root has permissions. Error Recieved: Read Error The file:/usr/share/jedit/doc/welcome.html could not be loaded due to an I/O error. (java.io.FileNotFoundExection: /usr/share/jedit/doc/welcome.html (Permission denied)) The error is not fatal as you can continue using jedit without rights to read any documentation.
