ebuild vlc-2.1.1.ebuild manifest
doesn't get any source tar yet.

But:
Me building vlc-2.1.9999.ebuild 
shows me when Menu-Help-About: vlc-2.1.2
(vlc-2.1 upstream opened its git for the new round)

In the ebuild I commented out 
files/vlc-2.1.0-TomWij-bisected-PA-broken-underflow.patch

Experience:
Pulseaudio sync is happening but a tiny 
fragment of a second you can here a little "zzp".

This result I get using masked media-video/ffmpeg-2.1

just released vlc-2.1.1
compiles without files/2.1.0 patches. 

Pulseaudo syncing when jumping 
- viewing low definition output no hassles
- viewing HD 720p needs a second

Which patches of the 2.1.0 series are needed?

I've commented out the backported patches, kept mine; works as fine as before.
