1) Please post your `emerge --info' output in a comment. 2) Please attach the entire build log to this bug report. (In reply to Jeroen Roovers from comment #1) > 1) Please post your `emerge --info' output in a comment. > 2) Please attach the entire build log to this bug report. It's not so easy for me to get either, or I would have already. I looked into the state after the failed build and the library has not been built yet when the relinking of another lib in the package is attempted. Created attachment 356298 [details]

just had this problem in a perfectly reliable way by removing gdk-pixbuf first :/ *** Bug 484962 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** I confirm that MAKEOPTS="-j1" emerge =x11-libs/gdk-pixbuf-2.26.4 also results in a successful compile on my amd64 hardened system, whereas "-j5" does not. Using MAKEOPTS="-j1" works with ~x86. I placed x11-libs/gdk-pixbuf in package.env and make a conf file (makeoptsj1.conf) so it will not effect other packages. Did anyone reported the problem to upstream (providing them a full build.log)? Thanks also ran into this problem... here are links to my build info, I don't know where to send upstream exactly... http://bpaste.net/show/135256/ http://bpaste.net/show/135257/ http://bpaste.net/show/135258/ http://bpaste.net/show/135259/ Would be to bugzilla.gnome.org + 06 Nov 2013; Pacho Ramos <pacho@gentoo.org> -gdk-pixbuf-2.28.1.ebuild, + gdk-pixbuf-2.28.2.ebuild: + Parallel install fails when no gdk-pixbuf is already installed, bug #481372 + (In reply to Pacho Ramos from comment #13) > + 06 Nov 2013; Pacho Ramos <pacho@gentoo.org> -gdk-pixbuf-2.28.1.ebuild, > + gdk-pixbuf-2.28.2.ebuild: > + Parallel install fails when no gdk-pixbuf is already installed, bug #481372 This overrides MAKEOPTS. $ VAR="a" $ f() { declare -p VAR; } $ f declare -- VAR="a" $ VAR+="b" f declare -x VAR="b" $ VAR="${VAR}b" f declare -x VAR="ab" Yeah, looks like it is not appending it, but I don't know why, there are a lot of MAKEOPTS+=" -j1" in the tree and I think "+=" worked like VAR="${VAR} ..." last time I used it :S *** Bug 368731 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Still occurs with 2.26.5 (at least on ARM, I don't recall having this issue on my amd64 box) (In reply to Steev Klimaszewski from comment #17) > Still occurs with 2.26.5 (at least on ARM, I don't recall having this issue > on my amd64 box) I was able to reproduce on amd64 when I added the -j1, but I needed to unmerge gdk-pixbuf before Still there on 2.36.0 (on amd64) Upstream bugs https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=609185 https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=711571 I've pinged them. Presumably no longer a problem with Meson. WONTFIX, to follow with upstream. |
