sys-apps/squashfs-tools-1.3 is already 'mksquashfs version 1.3-r3' :) is there an idea to include the complete versionnumber (1.3-r3) to the portage versioning? Daniel - r3 has a slightly different meaning in portage than to the package maintainers. It will show up as sys-apps/squashfs-tools-1.3_p3 indicating a patch version 3. From web page (FYI embedded): The filesystem is currently stable, and has been tested on PowerPC, i586, Sparc and ARM architectures. Now that its there I don't want to touch it. If I changed its name it would require everyone to update their version which is a bit unnecessary. If another r4 release comes out before a version bump it will be put in as a correct verion number. Mike - this is also a candidate for arm testing. I use squashfs on mipsel |
