Description Wes Hamilton 2004-04-07 07:26:33 UTC
http://www.polbox.com/h/hs001/ indicates:

"If you compiled MPPE/MPPC as module, add to your /etc/modules.conf following line (Note that in previous versions module binary was called ppp_mppe.o):

alias ppp-compress-18 ppp_mppe_mppc"

ppp-2.4.2-r1 includes the mppe patch, but lacks the above inclusion in modules.ppp. Is there a way to detect if mppe is a module and add the line accordingly? Will inline mppe systems break if the line is added unnecessarily?

Thanks!

i don't think it will break the non-module version, but let's ask the experts.
