Technically speaking this is not a gcc 4.8 error but a -Werror "problem" in the makefile Created attachment 354146 [details, diff]
backport patch from version 1.10, fix the compile error
there is already a patch for version mozc-1.10.1390.102 which remove the "-Werror" compile flag, backport to 1.6 fix this problem.
attached file is the ebuild patch
Specific -Werror=* flags are NOT disregarded by QA, unless we know that the warning is stupid in this case. Really need this for 1.6? Both 1.6 and 1.10 is testing. I'm considering to drop older versions. They also have problem with python eclass. (In reply to Julian Ospald (hasufell) from comment #3) > Specific -Werror=* flags are NOT disregarded by QA, unless we know that the > warning is stupid in this case. No, any use of -Werror is not allowed. Drop it please. |
