I think mesa-9.1.1 is good for stabilization. This will need libdrm-2.4.42 and eselect-opengl-1.2.7 stable too. Arches, please test and mark stable: =app-admin/eselect-opengl-1.2.7 =media-libs/mesa-9.1.1 =x11-libs/libdrm-2.4.42 Target keywords : "alpha amd64 arm hppa ia64 ppc ppc64 s390 sh sparc x86" un-CC'ing arches for now until all heads nod simultaneously (In reply to comment #3) > un-CC'ing arches for now until all heads nod simultaneously As a last resort we can make the new chromium use bundled mesa of course... I am not sure how deep that regression goes. If it's only kwin the best option would be to add the patch I attached to 463453 - or completely disable laczos, as freedesktop bug also mentions Gen4 being affected. I am a quite frugal desktop user, so I can't say if this bug introduces regressions in anything else besides kwin (games, gnome, ...) - freedesktop bug is to my understanding about kwin. As the chromium security bump IMHO is more importat then a performance regression in a WM (that can easily be workaround by setting scale method from Accurate to smooth according to Martin Graesslin -> pkg_postinst ewarn?), I think it would be better to drop the block and go on with stabilization of mesa/chromium. (In reply to comment #4) > As a last resort we can make the new chromium use bundled mesa of course... This is what we've done. Still, it would be nice to do this stabilization in the next month let's say. Here we are again; this is needed to stabilize chromium-27. Please CC archs if nothing is blocking this. Updated list to have the fix for bug #463453 : =media-libs/mesa-9.1.2-r1 =x11-libs/libdrm-2.4.45 =app-admin/eselect-opengl-1.2.7 Seems good to me. Not sure if R600/LLVM needs any special attention.
