Attached is an ebuild for audiotag, audiotag-0.10.ebuild.
audiotag is a command line program for editing meta-data in audio files. It uses GNU-style args and has nice, sane options. It can tag ogg, mp3, and flac files. It is suitable for tagging files individually, or en-masse.
I think it should go in, media-sound/audiotag
Ryan
Hi Ryan,
thanks for the ebuild.
I had a brief look at it and found a few issues:
1) we can't accept this ebuild as it does not have the gentoo header and thus you retain copyright of the ebuild. Everything in portage must be copyright Gentoo Foundation for legal reasons.
Do you wish to hand over the copyright of this ebuild so it can be added to portage? You can do this in the future by just keeping the gentoo header in the ebuild or copying it from another ebuild.
2) you included the x86 keyword; this should be ~x86 to mark it as testing
3) the src_install() only installes the audiotag binary, no associated documentation, COPYING, Readme etc.
Fortunate these things are easy to fix; you may want to review http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/ebuild-mistakes.xml
Added to portage CVS; thanks!
aha, I was a bit puzzled to see this reopened but now I understand that this
was reopened because a new upstream release is out.
Ryan, please create a new bug instead of reopening and changing the subject
next time when you want to let us know that a new version is out.
The reopen is meant for cases where a bug was prematurely closed, eg. when a
fix doesn't work.
