oh, as a side note :

neither 2.4.2 nor 2.4.3 would compile with gtk 2.4/gnome 2.6

i reported the problem upstream :

i didn't have this problem with gnome 2.4 so i suppose stardict 2.4.3 would run ok there

To compile stardict 2.4.x against gtk 2.4 remove the -DG_DISABLE_DEPRECATED
flag from the src/Makefile

khai can you fix this ? Every ebuild in the tree should be 'safe' or properly
be removed.
