Bug reports need to have an actual report. This one is empty. Please tell me what you want changed. The subject should be clear enough, especially for a council member. /var/run in new systems is a symlink toward /run, which means that the init scripts need to take care of making sure the path is there, and ebuilds should NOT install /var/run at all, as otherwise Portage takes æons on removal or upgrade to check the symlink. (In reply to comment #2) > The subject should be clear enough, especially for a council member. Ad hominem noted, with disappointment. > /var/run in new systems is a symlink toward /run, which means that the init > scripts need to take care of making sure the path is there I can confirm that the init scripts now cope with this. Will remove keepdir calls without revision bump. + 04 Jan 2013; Tony Vroon <chainsaw@gentoo.org> asterisk-1.8.19.1.ebuild, + asterisk-11.1.1.ebuild: + Remove /var/run keepdir statements as per Diego Elio Pettenò in bug #450222. Then next time don't tell me that the bug report is empty, the summary _is_ the bug report. There was no report. Please do better next time. Thank you in advance. I have 1500 open bugs at any point in time because I care about these issues, if I have to write an essay with every single bug that I report, you can be sure I wouldn't spend time getting these bugs, so if you want, I can rather NOT report issues with Asterisk anymore and leave it to rot in case. If anything, I forgot to set the blocker in this case, as that contains the summary of the problem. |
