gtk was made a required dependency for gconf in 2005 (see bug #100238) because at the time, portage did not support any way of depending on an ebuild that had a particular USE flag set. But we do have this mechanism now, so gtk can now be made into an optional dependency. + 27 Dec 2012; Alexandre Rostovtsev <tetromino@gentoo.org> gconf-2.32.4.ebuild, + gconf-3.2.5.ebuild, metadata.xml: + Make gtk dependency optional (bug #448868, thanks to wbrana). Drop useless + doc USE flag. Switch to global introspection flag. Update to EAPI5, update + license. |
