The ebuild currently has LICENSE="as-is" which most likely is wrong.

- No license is included in the package's tarball.
- HOMEPAGE appears to be dead.

Can you please ask upstream for clarification under with terms this package can be distributed?

I don't know, if Wicky is still active in the VDR community,
didn't heard alot of time anything from him....

so, added

RESTRICT="mirror bindist"
LICENSE="all-rights-reserved"

to the ebuild,
this should it fixed for now...
