Please add =kde-misc/networkmanagement-0.9.0.4 (target: amd64 x86) to the list and we are very happy about it. Xfce doesn't really use NetworkManager but you can get the default systemtray icon etc. which is not Xfce specific So basically if it's OK for others, it's OK also for Xfce, go for it -> I've tested nm-applet-0.9.4.1 + networkmanager-0.9.4.0-r6 under our stable gnome-2.32, seems to work fine there also. @arches, please stabilize these versions for the following targets: =gnome-extra/nm-applet-0.9.4.1 amd64 ppc x86 =kde-misc/networkmanagement-0.9.0.4 amd64 x86 =net-misc/modemmanager-0.5.2.0-r3 amd64 arm ppc ppc64 x86 =net-misc/networkmanager-0.9.4.0-r6 amd64 arm ppc ppc64 x86 =net-misc/networkmanager-openswan-0.9.3.995 amd64 x86 =net-misc/networkmanager-openvpn-0.9.4.0 amd64 x86 =net-misc/networkmanager-pptp-0.9.4.0 amd64 x86 =net-misc/networkmanager-vpnc-0.9.4.0 amd64 x86 Notes: net-misc/networkmanager-openconnect is not requested for stabilization because net-misc/openconnect is not stable and looks to be unmaintained at the moment. networkmanger-0.9.4.0 is known to suffer from bug #428274 on some kernels and ipv6 configurations. However, older networkmanager versions are even worse; they just randomly disconnected under these configurations (see bug #417529), so the current buggy behavior is at least an improvement. amd64 stable x86 stable arm stable stable ppc ppc64 oh i was the last arch ... closing |
