Looks like a duplicate of bug 411439 to me. Please reopen if you are sure that this is really caused by the compiler (and not by the kernel). *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 411439 *** Well, I'd say it's pretty sure to me it's the compiler: - tbamd64 (running 4.7 non-hardened GCC on the same exact kernel) has emacs; - cptquarters (running 4.6 hardened GCC on the same exact kernel) has emacs; - tbhs64 (this one, running 4.5 hardened GCC) doesn't seem to be able to get to it. (In reply to comment #2) > - tbamd64 (running 4.7 non-hardened GCC on the same exact kernel) has emacs; > - cptquarters (running 4.6 hardened GCC on the same exact kernel) has emacs; And these Emacsen have also been built while running this kernel version? > - tbhs64 (this one, running 4.5 hardened GCC) doesn't seem to be able to > get to it. Can you try 23.4-r3 with USE="pax_kernel"? The other two have 23.4-r3 with USE=pax_kernel and has been rebuilt with the kernel, so it seems like it's only stable to be affected. Good. :-) A stable request for 23.4-r3 is open in bug 423507 (and amd64 is already done), therefore closing. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 411439 *** |
